Foothill High School Reviews

Best school ever!!! I am in the band and love the band, the band director, and all the administrators. I would never want to go to any other school.

This school is the worst that my child had attended because they judge people by there color. My kid is a great student but the teachers don't treat other people the same. So I had to change my kid to another school.

I have a daughter in her senior year at Foothill. For a school that has over 2200 students I have never felt that she is 'lost in the system'. I have found all the teachers and counselors take a very active interest regarding her education and getting her prepared for college. I feel she has been well prepared for her next academic step.

This school leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Son went all 4 years and graduated without help from staff or teachers. Band director is ego driven and more worried about his awards than helping kids grow. Teachers don't care, don't answer emails from parents!Parents in volunteer positions are closed minded and uneducated (band parents esp)if we had it to do over, I would have taken my son out! Beautiful campus...what a shame.

Foothill has a great staff and the counselors are very receptive to input from parents. The student population is more diverse which leads to a more rounded student body. My son attends and is really enjoying it. We moved from a more affluent area of town to here and he is hanging around a much better crowd of kids.

I graduated from foothill H.S., the school is great. The teachers there really care and the extracurricular are great. The classes are not that big and its in a good area. You have all the options open to you at foothill.

We moved from a rural community back east to LV, and the schools choice was important. Foothill became the choice because it is smaller (2000 students versus 4000 students at rival schools), it is in a decent established community, and test scores were good. They also had a great selection of electives. We also have a special needs student and once we got past the first few weeks, all has seem to fallen into place. The teachers do care and are easy to communicate with via email or phone. Our special needs teacher couldn't be any better and has helped our child tremendously with the adjustment to the new school. Foothill students has been very accepting of our son too which is rare for a student with a disability at other schools he attended. This is a great place if you want your kids in a good high school.

I'm not a parent, but I do attend Foothill, and I think it's good school. I don't think the classes are too big and compared to the other schools in our area, Foothill is relatively small. I'm an honor student and I've never been mocked or made fun of. There are plenty of clubs and activities to get involved with , but the school focuses more on sports when it comes to extracurriculars. I don't notice a problem with security (if there is one)when I'm there. I don't feel like I'm in danger or anything, and the teachers make themselves very avalible, so you can almost always talk to them if there's ever a problem. Overall, Foothill is a realy good school.

Foothill is over-crowded and some of the students get lost in the shuffle.

The school is too big and the class sizes are way too big even in honors classes. Academically inclined students are mocked. Considering that the economy of this entire area is based on gambling and 'entertainment' this school is not bad for the area. Las Vegas area is really not a good place to raise kids.

Good staff and teachers appear to really be concerned with how the students do in school and in extra curricular activities. I have two students presently attending this school. One in 11th and one in 9th grade.

Foothill is a great school! The teachers there at least the majority of them are good! The only thing that Foothill needs to workd on is a little bit better security. I know that no matter what high school your child attends there are still gonna be the students that bully everyone and cause harm to them. So since there isn't much that you can do to controll some of the kids actions then putting that aside I believe that Foothill is an awesome school and very well put together!
