Walter Johnson Junior High School Reviews

My child has attended this school for three years, the last two have been an absolute nightmare! The counslers don't return phone calls, so you can make a appointment with them. If you drop in they are not there, you can leave them notes and they never respond. I have been trying to speak to my child's counsler since the beginning of the school year. The one person I finally got in touch who was trying with was transfered. My child was passed when I asked them to hold him back last year. He has been told all he has to do is pass the CRT's test to pass. As long as your child is not a disipline problem and simply has trouble learning, they will never get attention from the administration. Even if you sit on their doorsteps!

My son loves coming to this school. The principal has great handle on things. I like the no nonsense approach. I think parents should know about the shenanigans that their kids try. These are excellent teachers. The parents need to keep their kids in better check. They don't realize how lucky they have it at this school. My son came from a horrible school. This school is like a dream compared to a lot of schools in Clark County. Thank you all at Johnson.

i have had nothing but bad experiences with this school. they seem to lack focus on what is important and zoom in on things like my son not wearing the proper coler polo shirt...it was orange instead of blue or white..and of course orange would be o.k. if it were friday and i paid a dollar. this makes no sense to me and i can't understand how people don't recognize the infringement of civil liberties and constitutional rights. this school gets a zero from me and i am embarrassed that my children have to attend it.

This is a great school. It has a very nice, clean environment and the teachers do their jobs exceptionally well. Only problem I actually had there was the deans singling out students during lunch. Their musical groups are excellent (I was in orchestra way back when) and I can say I'd like to do Middle School all over again just because of it. Great school.
