Artist Bio
Emily-Kate Niskey is an artist and arts educator whose passion is exposing children to all forms of art. Since 2000, she has been teaching children and young adults, aged 2 through 21, sharing her belief that no one is too young to learn art history, explore materials and techniques, and interpret what they see.
Trained at the University of the Arts with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts Sculpture, Niskey holds a master's degree in education. She founded Vox Populi, a cooperative art gallery in Philadelphia, has been exhibiting her work for over 20 years, and has written and illustrated two children’s books. After re-locating from the East Coast, Niskey started a pre-school and elementary art program here in Las Vegas. As an artist, Niskey always uses a creative approach to teaching, with a perfect balance of structure and fun.
Emily-Kate and her husband have three young children, all budding artists.
