Major Security issues - rooms are being burglarized
Reviewed by Topenga on 2009-08-24T21:05:52Z

For those Las Vegas lovers, stay away from THEhotel. Regardless of the deals you might get there, being burglarized will definitely ruin your stay. I was there recently and had my $10, 000 ring stolen from my purse, which was inside my closed luggage. When I called the front desk, manager, risk management, I was blamed for not using the safe. I only went to the pool for a couple of hours. I was not anticipating to be violated - to have a stranger break into my room, go through my belongings and steal my wedding ring. They also implied that I misplaced my ring. The staff's attitude was indifferent and atrocious to say the list. They could have cared less that I had my ring stolen from their room. Did not even ask me to describe the ring, or to give them any other details (when it happened, etc). I know that customer service is non-existant these days - after all they don't pay the staff enough to care. Instead they hire any criminal that will work for minimum wage. There is not security in this place. The only security guard I was more interested in the food area than protecting the paying guests. They consider themselves a luxury hotel. What good is a nice looking hotel if the employees are theives, unprofessional and uncaring? I want my ring back at the end of your so called "investigation". By the way, their investigation takes a week. What a joke!!! By now my ring has exchanged many hands. Some pawn owner is happy with the profit he made on his buy. By the way, I'm not the only person with this experience at THEhotel.

Pros: Nice suites

Cons: Staff theft, bad customer service, not enough pool chairs

THE Hotel is a winner

THE Hotel has some of the nicest guest rooms in town and are competitively priced. I find a lower standard of customer service than expected. Not nearly as good as Four Seasons but not as expensive either

Good customer service and comfortable rooms

7 of my friends and I this past weekend went to Las Vegas (it was my first time). We knew we wanted to stay at a hotel that was aimed toward our generation (early to mid 20s). The palms and hardrock were very expensive (it was labor day weekend FYI). For 3 nights, it came out to an average of 309 a night per room, which I think its quite inexpensive. We stayed in THEsuite with a living room and 2 bed bedroom. Very comfortable beds and bathrobe. Bathroom was VERY impressive with SUNKEN tub, stand up shower, separate toilet and huge sink area. The room was a 5/5 without a doubt. The only bad part is the hotel's entrance is underground which was alittle odd and THEHotel is so far from the pool, easily a 15 minute walk. Room service took on average about 40 minutes which was expected, but everything was still pipping hot when it came. The best restaurant I ate in was in the little mall between the Mandalay Bay and the luxor called Burger Bar. Probably the best burgers ever so thats a place to stop and eat. Next time I visit Vegas ill try to stay somewhere else not because I didnt like the Mandalay Bay but because I want to experience more of Las Vegas.

Pros: Ambience, Price, Quality, Bars, Pool with Beach

Cons: Far from Pool, Underground Entrance
