Dick's Last Resort: where wacky is on the menu

If you're tired of deciding among white-linen restaurants lackluster chain restaurants and fast-food fare, there's another option: Dick's Last Resort, where wacky is featured on the menu —  literally!

Located in the Excalibur casino complex on the Las Vegas Strip, the wackiness at Dick’s Last Resort begins the moment you enter. The off-the-wall décor is like nothing else in the Excalibur -- or anywhere else (except one of the six other restaurants in the Dick's Last Resort chain)!

Rowdy staff members and live music add to the let-it-rip atmosphere. Don't be alarmed if the staff launches one of their outrageous napkin fights. Not surprisingly, Dick's Last Resort proudly claims the title of "The Shame O' The Strip"!

Besides the silly, sassy service, witty waiters will provide you with a giant bib and make what Dick's calls "a foolishly fashionable paper hat" for you to wear. The restaurant also hosts some wild and crazy holidays and spectacular celebrations that set it apart as the premier place for families and friends on the Strip.

Now back to the wacky menu. The so-called "Dinna" menu lists "deliciously messy" dishes of colossal proportions such as Big Sloppy Beef Ribs, messy honey-roasted chicken and salads, pasta, sandwiches and fabulous finger foods sure to delight appetites of all sorts and sizes. Many items — such as Buckets ‘O Grub, Macho Nachos ($8.49) and Dick’s Sampla Platta ($16.50 and serving two to four) — provide considerable choices if sharing is preferred.

If it's every man for himself, Dick’s prepares incomparable plates ranging from Mumbo Jumbo Chicky Wings ($11.99 for a bucket, $8.49 for a basket) to a Case ‘O Snow Crabs ($25.99) and Big Ass Burgers — sure to satisfy all taste buds and budgets.

As if the atmosphere and servers such as Taco (who includes his own version of the Bellagio fountain show in his routine) aren’t amusing enough, guests on Thursday through Monday can enjoy live music provided by the band Panama, which plays anything from classic favorites to today’s hits. Everyone's encouraged to rock out and sing along as the group performs on stage in Dick’s main dining room, beginning some time between 9 and 10 p.m.

With a calendar full of silly non-traditional holidays, no two visits are ever the same. Prom Day, Pajama Party Day, Sesame Street Day and Dress Like Your Favorite Superhero Day are just a few of the many outrageous holidays celebrated at Dick's.

Dick's Last Resort is the Strip's supreme spot for sports fans. During football games and special sports events like NFR, Dick’s offers fabulous specials on snacks such as chicken wings, chili cheese dogs, hot dogs and nachos.

Be it lunch, dinner or late-night fare, Dick’s Last Resort is a food playground for all ages.
