Simon says, “Put your fork to your mouth and eat to your heart’s content at Sunday brunch.  And yes, you can even wear your pajamas!”

Now you can follow the crowd to the new brunch at Simon at Palms Place, adjacent to the Palms Resort Casino, which is a Sunday happening in its own style.

Beautifully presented breakfast and lunch items fill the menu at Simon. The servers dress in relaxed but fashionable and tasteful PJ attire, and guests are invited to do likewise.

The brunch, which debuted on New Year’s Day, offers a sumptuous mix of items from juices and yogurts to classics. Include are all sorts of breads and pastries, cereals, granola parfaits, Simon’s Specials, organic egg dishes, waffles and pancakes, smoked salmon, breakfast sides, and coffees and teas.

There is also a variety of lunch items and interesting appetizer-type things, such as miniature pigs-in-the-blanket.

At the self-serve counter, you’ll find bagels, lox and cream cheese; various smoothies; veggie cocktails; fresh fruit; a selection of pastries, fresh shrimp, sushi, and paninis made to order before your  eyes.

The eggs, waffles, pancakes and other dishes, such as frites (French-fried potatoes) or a 12-inch gourmet breakfast pizza, are ordered at your table and brough by your server.

And don't be afraid to get caught with your hand in the candy dish on the way out of the restaurant. Next to the hostess stand is a rack of candy bowls filled with items such as  individually wrapped jawbreakers. It's just like in the old days, when these sweet morsels in a jar were a penny apiece. Here they’re yours for the taking.

For $38 a person, this brunch is a not-to-be-missed taste treat. In addition, Simon serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sundays, only brunch is served.
