Guests can now be “green” with ENVY as the popular Las Vegas steakhouse at the Renaissance Hotel breaks out a new menu with veggies and other sides on the plate instead of having to purchase them a la carte.

The award-winning ENVY The Steakhouse, located within the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel, offers fine dining in a casual atmosphere but now with a whole new concept. According to Executive Chef Christopher Mihy, the menu now makes sense for everyone.

“No one wants to spend $35-$40 just for a steak these days,” Mihy explains. “Guests want a meal. Today, people are looking for value. That’s why we changed from a la carte, a concept that was okay 20 years ago, to including vegetables and other things such as potatoes on the plate. Guests can still order sides if they want to as well. Along with that, we are using more reductions in our entrees instead of heavy creams and heavy sauces. People also want fresher, healthier food. For the first time ever, we even have a vegetarian dish.”

The wide-ranging menu features dishes such as crab bisque with tempura king crab legs, tuna and crab meat dynamite, Black Angus filet mignon, sea bass with wild mushrooms and crab meat Victoria. They are now alongside new dishes such as Scallops with Lobster Ravioli in Lobster Sauce with microgreens. Mihy explains that the new menu items are designed to make people feel satisfied when they leave the table as opposed to feeling bloated or stuffed.

There are also new desserts on the menu and the prices are capped at $9. Homemade Tiramisu, S’mores and Crème Brulee are three of the items.

ENVY has also instituted a Prix Fixe menu. For $39, guests can choose from a choice of three appetizers, three entrees and three desserts. Appetizer choices include an ENVY Chopped Salad, Black Pepper Calamari & Rock Shrimp or Roasted Tomato Soup. Entrée choices are Homey Vermouth Chicken, 6 oz. Black Angus Filet or Lemon & Herb Roasted Salmon Filet, all served with mashed potatoes and vegetable bouquet. For dessert guests can choose Chocolate Lava Cake, Lemon-Lime Mousse or Pineapple & Ginger Upside Down Cake with Roasted Pineapple Sorbet.

ENVY The Steakhouse also features a wine wall with more than 1,500 bottles of fine wine.  The ENVY lounge features 60 seats, full beverage service and a relaxed atmosphere to compliment the restaurant. Special events or corporate meetings can be held in ENVY The Steakhouse’s two separate private dining rooms

The restaurant is also open for breakfast 7 days a week and there is a brunch on Sundays.
