Stuffed at the Plaza is a veritable buffet of offerings
With the opening of its new buffet, Fremont Street’s Plaza Hotel & Casino is out to prove that you ARE what you eat – in this case, that would be “Stuffed,” thank you very much.
“Stuffed: The Buffet at the Plaza” seeks to bring back the inexpensive buffet that was once upon a time the trademark of Las Vegas, most notably in the downtown area. The name of the original buffet has been changed to denote the new expansive culinary offerings.
At Stuffed, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the all-you-can-eat experience has been reborn but with a much greater variety and assortment of American and international menu selections. That includes a champagne brunch on Saturdays and Sundays ( 6 a.m.-2 p.m., $9.99) as well as an all-new high-end dinner menu that features a schedule of specialty nights seven days a week (Sunday-Thursday $12.99; Friday and Saturday $15.99).
Those specialty nights include: New York Steak and Snow Crab Legs on Mondays, Southern-Fried on Tuesdays, New York Steak and Shrimp Scampi on Wednesdays, All-You-Can-Eat Ribs on Thursdays, Seafood Night on Fridays, Prime Rib and Baked Potato Bar on Saturdays and New York Steak and Peel and Eat Shrimp on Sundays.
“Our guests were asking for something new, different and better, so we have given them a great new, significantly upgraded buffet as well as the recently opened Omelet House Diner,” said Tony Bender, vice president of marketing for the Plaza. “’Stuffed’ will appeal to visitors seeking a return to the Las Vegas tradition of stuffing yourself with great food without breaking into your gambling budget.”
Along with the fact that inexpensive downtown buffets have been harder and harder to find in recent years, of those that were left, freshly-made high quality offerings became almost non-existent. Stuffed is representative of the Plaza’s decision to raise the value-quotient on its competitors and offer better quality food than ever.
As an added perk, Player’s Club members will receive a $2 discount off the dinner buffet just by showing their card at Stuffed.
