Recently opened inside The Shoppes at the Palazzo, First Food & Bar resurrects the character and authenticity of the neighborhood bar and diner right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. The 200-seat restaurant featuring American cuisine is hip yet comfortable. Together with a contemporary 70-seat bar and lounge, it offers the vibe of a late-night spot with the casualness of a local eatery.

Open until the wee wee hours of the morning, guests can enjoy early breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night repast prepared under the auspices of Executive Chef Sam DeMarco, who created the menu of affordable and  familiar American food and drinks.

Signature dishes include The “First Original” Mini Burgers, four all-beef patties with secret sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions and tomatoes ($16). Another is the Lollipop Buffalo Wings, served with Maytag Blue fondue and pickled cucumbers ($12.22). Then there are the Lobster Rolls, consisting of mini potato buns, Maine lobster and tarragon ($18).

Signature cocktails include the Cucumber Gimlet, made with gin, cucumber, fresh lime and simple syrup, and the Cotton Candy Kiss, made with vodka, elderflower, vanilla, pineapple and cranberry juice with a crushed “Life Saver” rim. Speaking of fun, another item always on the menu are adult “Snow Cones.”

First Food & Bar’s mix of industrial and urban décor comes courtesy of Duncan Miller Ullman. The venue has a state-of-the-art sound system by Sound Investment featuring Funktion One DJ Booth for live DJ sets.
