Many of you will be happy to hear that it’s time to hit the sauce – that would be on the pizza and other great Italian dishes that will be part of a very special weekend coming up at the M Resort Spa Casino.

The Marnell family, owners of the new hotel casino in Las Vegas, is bringing their Italian Festival tradition – with a few twists  – to the property on October 17 and 18. Taking popular restaurants and vendors and mixing in wine, entertainment, games and lots of family fun things to do, the hotel is dedicated to having guests attending the event saying “Mmmmmmm” all weekend long.

To that avail, folks will be able to sample Italian delights such as pizza, calzones, sausage and pepper sandwiches, and various specialties prepared by local restaurants and the M Resort’s chefs. In addition, there will be a variety of fine wines offered, along with an assortment of cheeses and fruits. Fresh-baked breads from the M Resort patisserie, Baby Cakes at the Wine and Cheese Terrace, will be on hand as will plenty of desserts to satisfy a sweet tooth, including cheesecake, cannoli, biscotti, Italian ices, spumoni and fried dough.

As for the entertainment, roving magicians, jugglers, and musicians will be up-front-and-personal with guests. Interactive fun will include contests such as spaghetti eating and grape stomping while as well as Bocce tournaments. For the kiddies, there will be free face painting, colorful balloons and more.

The Italian Festival first began 17 years ago at the Rio, the first property in Las Vegas that the Marnell family built and owned. For many years, the event was a locals’ favorite, attracting thousands of people over the course of the two days..

“The Italian Festival means a great deal to my family and I’m looking forward to starting a new tradition with it here at the M. We’re lining up top-notch, authentic vendors and our own M chefs know how to do Italian. I hope people bring their whole family, enjoy great Italian food and entertainment in an unbelievable setting,” said Anthony A. Marnell III, Chairman and CEO of the M Resort.

Guests can purchase tickets to purchase food items at ticket booths located in the Festival area.
