Four Seasons Dental Spa offers dentistry with a difference
For most of us, going to the dentist immediately evokes that four-letter “f” word – fear. Now a dental office with all “the Wright stuff” is looking to wash away that sentiment by putting its money where your mouth is.
The Four Seasons Dental Spa, owned by Dr. James Wright and his wife, Debby, is a totally new concept whereby patients can receive the finest quality care in a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. The only dental practice in Las Vegas that combines dentistry with a spa environment, the Wrights have invested in their patients’ physical and emotional well-being, providing amenities to eliminate their fear at its root.
“I set about seeing what we could change so that folks would actually like coming here,” says Debby. “I thought of the spa idea to draw people to the dentist and help save their teeth. We’re focused on dentistry first.”
As opposed to entering an office filled with dental smells and the whirring of a drill, patients are greeted by the aroma of lavender, a natural relaxant, and noiseless drills. The cozy waiting room has been transformed into a Relaxation Room with massage chairs and a huge salt-water aquarium. Beverages such as oxygenated alkaline water, Chai tea and cappuccino are offered.
Amenities including a complimentary Oxygen Bar and an Aquamassage are available to patients prior to or after dental treatment. Spa services that include various skin treatments and manicures, for both men and women, are given in private rooms and are fee-based.
Once in the dental chair, patients receive sunglasses, warm paraffin hand treatments, and lip therapy. There is a plasma screen monitor over every chair and a remote by which they can choose to watch TV cable news, movies, or their program of choice while they are being treated.
Amidst the pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff that includes two additional dentists, there is a definite philosophy of dentistry always in effect. Dr. Wright is continuously taking classes on new techniques and keeping the office updated with the latest technology and equipment. He offers a mercury-free holistic practice, which is medical-grade sterile and boasts the highest quality treatments, prevention, and education.
“I strive to save every tooth possible,” he emphasizes. “I also love doing cosmetic dentistry because when I see how a new smile can change someone’s life, and make them look 10-15 years younger, that’s a real joy for me. So is restoring patients’ bites to a point where they can chew again and their migraine headaches go away. I constantly hear that this is the most thorough dental exam someone has ever had. We do oral cancer screening, laser cavity detection, and digital X-rays whereby people can actually see their teeth in color on a TV screen and see what’s going on their mouths. Plus, I will work with patients on a custom treatment plan based on his or her time availability and finances.”
