Blush Boutique Nightclub: first Blush of nightlife at Wynn Las Vegas
"Boutique nightclubs" — night spots that hold a few hundred patrons, in contrast to 800 to 2,000 and more in other nightclubs — have been a hit in Los Angeles, Miami and New York for a while now. But it took casino developer Steve Wynn and nightclub operator Sean Christie to introduce the first — and so far, only — boutique nightclub to Las Vegas — a place intimate enough to be called Blush.
This high-energy nightclub — featuring a lit onyx dance floor and 300 créme lantern ceiling structure — overlooks the casino. The color-fluctuating lanterns — the central art focal piece at Blush Boutique Nightclub — creates various hues and images to enhance the atmosphere.
Truth is, that with the lighting designed by World Club Award-winner John Lyons (who also designed the sound), if you’re really blushing, it might be hard to tell — unless you’re in the well-lit restrooms in front of display cases of numerous Barbie Dolls (in the men’s toilettes) and Ken dolls (in the ladies’). Other playful amenities include purse drawers at each seat and personal lockers for belongings.
Blush is located where Wynn’s Lure nightclub once was. The 4,500-square-foot venue was totally remodeled under the direction of the hotel's vice president of design, Roger Thomas. Decorated in a palette of deep green, chocolate brown, gold and metallics, the club features large sofas, additional banquettes, a large bar, dance floor and an open-air patio with outdoor seating surrounded by lush foliage. There's also bottle service and a private VIP room available for up to 25.
Beverage menus — including wines by the glass or bottle and an extensive list of infused vodkas — change on a monthly basis. Blush's signature drink is the Royal Blush.
Blush features an eclectic mix of music — rock ‘n roll, hip hop and house — from music director and resident DJ Mighty M, who takes the floor every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. It definitely puts a whole new spin on Las Vegas nightlife.
You can make reservations for Blush online. There's no cover charge on Monday and Wednesday nights. There's never any cover charge for members or female local residents. Dress is casual chic; that means no hats, baggy or oversized jeans or athletic wear.
