The Fountains at Bellagio delights with light, water and music
A refreshing interplay of water, light and music, the Fountains of Bellagio provides visitors a breath-taking display that's constantly changing. And, as it's free, it's one attraction that fits every budget.
The Fountains of Bellagio spurt as high as 240 feet, choreographed to music ranging from the classic arias of Luciano Pavarotti to Broadway show tunes to Lionel Ritchie and the romantic stylings of Frank Sinatra.
More than 1,000 fountains dance in front of the hotel, enhanced by the music and 4,500 lights, in a display that spans more 1,000 feet. with nearly 20 million gallons of water on about 8.5 acres, Lake Bellagio is the second-largest musical fountain system in the world — only one in Dubai beats it — and one of the most well-choreographed fountains.
The fountains are so vast that they passers-by can easily see them from many spots on the Las Vegas Strip, and even from neighboring hotels. They were featured in the 2001 movie Ocean's Eleven.
The show won't grow quickly grow stale, either, with 30 different programmed displays. Regular shows are randomly selected for displays that go off about 28 times a day. You can view the playlist by clicking Fountain Music List on the Fountains of Bellagio webpage.
To offer some idea of its size, the lake is about 1,025 feet on its longest edge — that’s 26 school buses parked end to end. At its widest point, the lake is about 520 feet. Sixteen half-acre homes with an access road and a small park could fit into that width.
The Fountains at Bellagio also have state-of-the-art fog, lighting and audio systems. WET Design created the multi-million-dollar Fountains of Bellagio.
