Fly high on Cloud Nine
Want to be on Cloud Nine? If so, you can fly up, up and away in that company’s beautiful balloon, which is the largest helium-filled, land-tethered balloon in the world and the newest attraction on the Las Vegas Strip.
From Cloud Nine’s location on Las Vegas Boulevard across from Mandalay Bay, guests can take flight and experience a 360-degree view of the Strip from nearly 500 feet in the air, day or night. A customized gondola will safely elevate up to 30 passengers at a time to the attraction. The “lucky” 7-story-wide by 11-story-high balloon is also uniquely illuminated from within, making it visible from miles away.
“The Cloud Nine balloon will offer passengers extraordinary open-air views of the breathtaking Las Vegas Strip,” said Kevin Michaels, President and CEO of Cloud Nine Entertainment. “Plus, with tickets in the $20 range, this once-in-a-lifetime experience is available at a price that both Las Vegas residents and visitors alike can afford.”
Inspired by successful balloons in Dubai, Paris, and Hong Kong, the innovative project was developed by Cloud Nine Entertainment, LLC and designed by the world-renown Parisian-based company, Aerophile S.A. The European-style balloon was originally commissioned for “The America’s Cup” yacht race in Valencia, Spain.
In addition to standard ten-minute flights, Cloud Nine will also offer innovative wedding, anniversary, engagement, and bachelor and bachelorette parties, as well as a variety of corporate and special event packages.
Jerome Giacomoni, President of Aerophile S.A and designer of the innovative balloon, praises Cloud Nine Entertainment’s endeavors in Las Vegas stating, “This launch will create an enchanting addition to the Las Vegas skyline and serve as its newest major landmark. It will attract tourists from all over the world.”
A seasoned international business executive, Michaels has over 35 years of experience in the hospitality, entertainment, toy design, and consulting industries. Michaels’ partner in Cloud Nine Entertainment, Bert Rhine has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and advertising
